Came here via the carnival. Its also sad that this work-life imbalance, maybe which was something more American, is also now entering societies like mine (Indian) where previously jobs were treated as that - jobs, not some sort of all-consuming thing. And ofcourse, women bear the worst of it, though men too face insane hours without being able to do much about it, cos, ofcourse, its not macho to want to spend time with your family/hobbies etc.</p> Excellent post.
